I have been considering posting more Unity tutorials and logging some sort of Journal on the game I am working on…so maybe soon the site will see some more activity. (it was on the edge of the sheet so it has no tile to the left of it) On the right is after using the script, it is now a 34 by 34 pixel tile and has added a 1 pixel border that extrudes the original tiles borders. Note the borders on the top, right, and bottom. Here is an example, on the left you have the original 32 by 32 pixel tile. Select a spot to save the new tilesheet/spritesheet.On the Menu select Mudloop (if you dont see this between Tools and Window, click around the menus a bit).Select your tilesheet/spritesheet within Unity. If you follow the link above there is a nice little editor package, if you use it, it will auto extrude a tileset or spritesheet within unity for you. I stumbled on this post from 2011 and it had the perfect solution. I am guessing that is a really nice tool but I decided the problem wasnt worth money and worst case I could manually do it (too much time) or make a little program to do it for me (also a lot of time). The only solutions I found when trying to solve this cost money like TexturePacker by Code+Web. The only way to get rid of the little lines that sometimes show on the top or bottom of a given sprite is to extrude the tiles but keep the settings in Unity the same. If you work with Unity at all (and I am guessing you do or you would not have found yourself at this page) you know how frustrating it is dealing with the way Unity handles 2D sprites and tiles. This is not surprising, because photorealistic HD textures are more eye-catching than standard default textures.Long time no post, recently I have been working on some other projects or nothing at all but came by this fix online and thought I should share it. Also, showcases on YouTube are very popular and the videos get several million views. By the way, most of them became popular only through social networks like Reddit. All projects are always compatible with shader packs.

Moreover, with such realistic texture packs it is usually recommended to download a shader for 1.18 as well. The developers actually manage to do this amazingly well, but at the same time you need a good raytracing graphics card. These try to make Minecraft look like a new video game. There are also texture packs for 1.18 that are extremely realistic. It’s best to opt for low resolution and small swords if your computer is older and very slow. On top of that, the swords are shorter, but that’s a matter of taste and mainly occurs in the PvP category. This means you get less lag, but the visuals suffer massively. For example, this is the case with FPS Boost texture packs, because they have a pretty low resolution. However, this won’t always be true, because there are also some that don’t look so good. The special thing about 1.18 packs is that they include all new textures and make the game more beautiful.

There are a lot of free download links for MCPE, which guarantees great fun with the Caves and Cliffs Update. Fortunately, this is only partially true for the MCPE version, as it is still colloquially called by mobile players. The nasty part is that many 1.18 texture packs are free for Minecraft: Java Edition, but not for the console and mobile version. Almost everything costs something on this platform. This affects all console players, because they only have the official Marketplace.

Obviously, most of the packs are available for free, but unfortunately there are a few exceptions. Furthermore, there are big differences when it comes to payment. The Minecraft texture packs 1.18 list includes all possible styles, so there is definitely something for you.

This is extremely important for the majority of players, because only a few want to play with the normal default textures. You can add one or more folders from your project and Texture Packer will.

As always, a new patch means that new Minecraft 1.18 texture packs are also available. Unity is a texture pack that aims to update Minecrafts slightly outdated. Therefore, it was not possible to work on the snapshots as purposefully as we are used to from the Swedish development team. The corona pandemic made it necessary to split the update into two parts, because many Mojang employees were in their home offices during development. The Minecraft game version 1.18 is the second part of the Caves and Cliffs Update that adds some new stuff.
